Storm Shadow, also known as Thomas S. Arashikage, is a prominent character from the G.I. Joe universe.
He is best known for his ninja skills, white ninja garb, and complex relationship with Snake Eyes. They were both members of the Arashikage ninja clan. He is the the blood brother of the other Joe, Snake Eyes.
Storm Shadow first appeared in Marvel Comics' G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #21 (1984) as a Cobra operative.
Later depictions of Storm Shadow, particularly in the "Ghost Action" storyline, further explored his internal conflict, struggling between his allegiance to Cobra and his honor-bound connection to Snake Eyes and the Arashikage clan. This often led to him defecting to G.I. Joe.
